This morning on "The View" - they had to discuss Mel Gibson getting the axe from Hangover 2….

Finally, Joy Behar (the favorite of '5 star Torres,' in "The Final Yard", lol) mentioned Jodie Foster, and "The Beaver". It went something like this:

"Well, you know Jodie Foster has directed this movie called "The Beaver" - ahem, no comment - and Mel Gibson stars in it. She has recently said 'Mel Gibson is one of the most loved people in Hollywood.' What kinda' medication is SHE on?"

To which Barbara and Elizabeth both tried to get their comments in, saying that "Jodie WOULD have a different view point….." and she has every right to speak up for him.

Anyway, if I can find a clip, I'll post it.

Sheri and Joy both agreed they would boycott any film Mel was in.

So, basically that must be why JF and company are holding back on release date: waiting for the Mel clouds to dissipate.

I cannot believe this ridiculous situation. We all have our profoundly stupid moments, and hopefully no one is recording it.

I just want to see the dang movie.

They say that any publicity is good publicity. I think this situation proves that statement to be false. Jodie can't release her picture because of Mel's bad pub!
