My Stroke of Insight

Deadline reports that Ron Howard has signed on to direct My Stroke of Insight. Based on the book of the same name by Dr. Jull Bolte Taylor, the story is a memoir that recounts the author's recovery from a stroke. The script is being written by Semi Chellas and Howard wants Jodie Foster, who hasn't been in a movie since 2008's Nim's Island, to star, though she isn't officially attached. Howard also recently signed on to direct an adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
