No.
Worst movie was one of my sentimental favorites: Siesta.
It had great strengths, and yet the weak points all fell on my Jodie. She still plowed right through with her artistic aplomb. She made that film WORTH WATCHING….. (did I fail to say "Fuck you, Mary Lambert? Oh, well…..)
"We're all spoiled for choice, aren't we darling?"
"Siesta" and "Gothic" both rank as personal favorites for me, and both bottom out on the overall rankings of fans. (Jodie was not in Gothic, but she might as well have been.)
Oh, bullshit. Jodie Foster is a national American treasure of an artist. Her "best" and "worst" (and all in between) work will stand forever as something all people of conscience must consider (especially if they love film.)
She is so tremendously SINGULAR in her vision, and her experience. i pray that she does not choose to totally shut out her understanding fan base, all in the name of some non-existent privacy that has never existed. Please, find the courage to write about some of your struggles and soul/wars, Jodie.
"Mesmerized" was so much better than you ever thought.
But I ain't nobody to be making such statements. Obviously.
