Wow! Thanks, Claudia. I had no idea. I don't know where the time went. *sigh*

And that is something seeing so many film people winning. Times are a changing.

I agree, Broadway has become different.

As cool as it is to see a great film star/actor live on stage, sometimes I think this role could have also been played by a really great theater actor. Sure, the famous film stars bring in the money. Obviously, there is no question!

I remember articles where people and theater actors have criticized the increasing amount of [big name] film actors on Broadway or even London's West End.

I can understand that those film actors (who probably did theater before they became really famous) still like doing theater from time to time. And if they get offered a good role on Broadway, I'm sure they think twice about this opportunity.

Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub and Justin Bartha in "Lend Me a Tenor"

I think I wouldn't understand anything because of my bad English plus the dialogues with the Pittsburgh accent, and in addition to all this, Anthony LaPaglia's Australian accent. sed

I see only two actors at last photo: Anthony LaPaglia (he looks like George Bush Laughing) and Tony Shalhoub. I thought that Justin Bartha is the name of the actor. My poor English.. Sad

Justin Bartha is the young actor standing on the right with the glasses... Eugene, do you need glasses? Wink

He's a 32-years-old upcoming actor. I thought he was so hilarious in the play. Coincidentally I saw the movie "The Rebound" with Bartha and Catherine Zeta-Jones on the airplane from Zurich to New York.

Anthony LaPaglia played an Italian tenor and spoke with an Italian accent, that was no problem.

The play "Fences" with Denzel who takes place in Pittsburgh revolves around an African-American family, yes, therefore the accents are a bit more difficult to understand.

Hey, I see only such pic

    laugh

...LaPaglia currently lives in Santa Monica, California, USA. He has said that he adopted an American accent to help him get acting work after moving to America, and has now lost his Australian accent completely. Some critics and viewers have noted his occasional dialect slips. However, he is still capable of performing a flawless Australian accent in later roles in Australian movies such as Lantana and Balibo...

I know what the problem is. The pic is too big for the forum and cut the right part out. Here is the pic I posted.

It depends on the size of your PC if you see the whole pic or not.

Yes, it's Erica Bain's apartment. I waited for Erica to walk the city with me, but she didn't appear... Laughing

I would have loved to walk the city with her since she knows NYC so well. She would have been a great guide... Wink

On the other hand, it's always a bit dangerous with her.

That's the "famous" entrance to the Central Park not far from the apartment.

There is always something happening in the tunnel near the Stranger's gate. I saw that tunnel in many movies

    Nicole Kidman's Birth

    Meg Ryan's Kate & leo

Those are fabulous pictures, Claudia. Thank you. It's a shame you weren't in NY when I went to visit, I could have met up with you. Maybe next time you go, you'll let me know, and I can try to plan on going up there.

Absolutely, Artful! That would be great!

I once (in 2007) met the webmaster from the "Official Josh Hamilton Website" (a film & theater actor and co-star [twice] of Mary Stuart Masterson) in NYC. She lives in Yonkers, NY.

I will definitely let you know when I go back there.

    Thank you, Artful and Eugene!

Awful weather here. It's raining a lot since yesterday and will the whole weekend like crazy. Certain regions have already problems with flooding. But it's worse in France.

Bad luck! Only 10 players after the red card. The referee was also a bit off with some decisions. They have to win the next game now against Honduras, otherwise bye, bye 1/8 finals.
